Air Force Plant 1, Nebraska

The old Martin Aircraft plant near Omaha, once known as Air Force Plant 1, is where the B-29s that would become the famous nuclear bomb-dropping Enola Gay and Bockscar were made. Some of the plant was torn down after the war, but the main assembly building, known as building D, remains. It is located on the grounds of Offutt Air Force Base, home to the Strategic Air Command (now known as Stratcom), which is building new headquarters, and may be tearing down the Building D at some point.
