BJ Services Corporate Headquarters, Texas

BJ Services is a major well-completion company, founded by Byron Jackson (BJ), a late 19th century inventor of innovative pumps. BJ Services expanded through mergers with companies involved in oil well development and stimulation technologies, such as well fracturing (blasting), acidizing, well cementing, and related oil tool manufacturing. Owned for a while by the Hughes Tool Company, BJ became independent again after Hughes and Baker merged in the late 1980s. Today it is still a leader in pressure pumping, well stimulation, and fracturing technologies.
