Blackbird Airpark, California

Static display at the gate of Air Force Plant 42, featuring an SR-71 Blackbird spy plane, a rarer A-12 precursor, a D-21 drone, and a U-2 D model. Part of the collection of the Air Force Flight Test (AFFT) Museum at Edwards Air Force Base, the Airpark is located near the Skunkworks plant of Lockheed, the company which created this aircraft, the fastest production airplane ever made. Across from the park is the FAA's Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center.
