Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Maryland

Maryland's only nuclear power plant lies on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay, from which it draws its cooling water. Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant hosts two pressurized water reactors, whose combined output is 1,756MW.  Unit 1's operating license was granted in 1974, while Unit 2's operating license was granted in 1976. The plant is operated by Exelon Corporation.
