Cargill Headquarters, Minnesota

Cargill’s World Headquarters is located at the Lake Office, a private corporate campus, near Lake Minnetonka, in a suburb west of Minneapolis. There is a large low Prairie Style corporate building with a parking garage on site, next to a large French provincial style mansion, where most of the executive offices are located. Cargill is a company of superlatives, and a company with many unique qualities. It is one of the largest food companies in the world; the nation's largest grain trader; and the largest privately held corporation in the United States in terms of revenue. Employees work at hundreds of processing plants for various food and feed products, scattered all over the nation and in 66 countries. Subsidiaries include Excel, one of the largest meat packing and processing companies in the world, Cargill Steel, which operates 19 steel plants in the United States, and Cargill Salt, one of the largest salt producers in the country.
