Facebook Prineville Data Center, Oregon

The second dedicated data center built by Facebook outside of the Silicon Valley is located in the remote town of Prineville, Oregon. One of the assets in the region, besides inexpensive land, is proximity to Columbia River Dam energy, and proximity to the trans-pacific fiber cable landings on the Oregon coast. The Prineville data center is now two large adjacent buildings. Nearby is a recently expanded Apple data center.
