Fort Stewart, Georgia

At 279,270 acres, Fort Stewart is the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River. Troops train on the installation's tank, field artillery, helicopter gunnery, and small arms ranges. Air support is provided by Hunter Army Airfield, a 5,400-acre airbase with the Army's longest runway, located near Savannah, eight miles from Fort Stewart.
