Kennecott is developing this uranium mine in the Green Mountain area of south central Wyoming. The group of five uranium oxide deposits in the Green Mountain Mining Venture area (as the development consortium is called), including the Jackpot Mine, constitute one of the largest uranium oxide deposits in the world. Ore will be processed at the Sweetwater Mill, currently the largest commissioned uranium mill in the United Ststes.
