Irvin Finishing Plant, Pennsylvania

This steel finishing plant is one of three separate nearby facilities that are part of US Steel’s Mon Valley Works, along the Monongahela River near Pittsburgh. Coke is generated at the Clairton Works, nearby, which is sent downstream to the Edgar Thompson steel plant, at Braddock, then steel is shipped back here, to be finished into products.
