A historic observatory in the San Gabriel Mountains, high above Pasadena. Several telescopes are in use, including a 60 and a 150-foot tower telescope, used for solar observations; infrared interferometer equipment, and the 100-inch Hooker optical telescope. Most of the telescopes are operated by universities.
