Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida

Training center for naval aviation, and a major supply and repair depot for Navy aircraft. Basic flight training for all Navy pilots and crew takes place at the 5,800-acre base, as well as advanced training in certain aircraft and operations. It is also home to the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI), a major center for aerospace-related medical research. Associated with Pensacola NAS is Corry Field (now Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station), a specialized technical training facility, and Saufley Field, a separate installation, that houses naval training support.
