Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Redstone Arsenal is one of the primary rocket and missile research and development centers for the Army, and a historic and busy site for US rocketry overall. As many as 35,000 people work within Redstone's 38,125 secured acres, including at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, which is located inside the Arsenal’s grounds, and the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command. Facilities include laboratories and administrative office buildings, several instrumented test ranges, and a 7,200 ft airfield runway. Hundreds of munitions igloos exist on the southern end of the arsenal grounds.
