Cartography

3523 CLUI photo

Perimeters and cartographic grids constitute a network of overlying lines on the landscape delimiting the margins or intersections of sites, and mapping’s shift in scale provides shifts in perspective. Cartography examines the edges of places, which are often distinct places in themselves, the interaction of physical space with conceptual lines.
