Venice Boulevard splits into two separate streets, North Venice and South Venice, where the median widens, at the west end of the old Venice of America canal district, at Centennial Park and the Venice/Abbot Kinney Branch Library. This one-story building on the corner of Venice and Dell Avenue was constructed in 1939, as an additional structure on a lot that already included a two-story home, built in the 1920s, just before the canals were filled and paved over. There are two apartments in the older structure (319 Venice Boulevard A, and 319 Venice Boulevard B), and a third residence in the one-story building. Today both structures are similar to their appearance in the real estate listing photo taken in 1963. Next door, and still intact, is Dolph’n Court, a residential courtyard built near the canals in 1924, with eight small bungalows.
