LAX5 is a sortation center for Los Angeles region. The 238,000-square-foot building is managed by Prologis, one of the largest logistics warehouse companies in the nation, and a company that Amazon works with elsewhere as well. LAX5 opened in 2017 in Buena Park, near Interstate 5 and the 91 Freeway. It is one of only two Amazon sort or fulfillment centers outside of the Inland Empire, and the only one in the Los Angeles Basin or Orange County, a region served mainly by Amazon’s delivery stations, the last stop in Amazon’s logistics network.
