SES operates an earth station in northern New Jersey, with direct fiber connectivity to 111 Eighth Avenue, in Manhattan. The site was originally established in 1974, and was owned by RCA. SES has a fleet of 53 geostationary satellites around the globe, and is based in Luxembourg.
