South Mountain is a teleport in the hills near Santa Paula, north of Los Angeles. It was established in 1974, and has direct fiber access to One Wilshire, in Los Angeles. It is the only west coast earth station for SES, the large European satellite company. SES started in 1985, and now has more than 50 communication satellites above the earth.
