Adams Center Landfill, Indiana

Until its closure in 1998, the Adams Center Landfill was a hazardous waste site known to some as the Fort Wayne Chemical Waste Dump, with a capacity of 2,800,000 cubic yards, operated by Chemical Waste Management, a subsidiary of waste giant WMX Technologies. It was one of fewer than 30 commercial hazardous waste sites in the country.
