Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, US Territories
Anderson is a base primarily for heavy bombers, like B-52s, B-2s, and B-1Bs, and is one of only two US bases like this in the Asia-Pacific region (the other is at Diego Garcia, which is a British territory, not a US territory, as Guam is). Located on the north end of the island there is an ordnance storage area with more than 100 munition storage magazines, and an important Air Force Satellite Communications Center. The main airbase has two runways and dozens of aircraft parking pads. Guam is one of the most important global US military sites, and the Air Force base and the Navy base have been administratively linked since 2009 as Joint Region Marianas. The Marines from the US base on the Japanese islands of Okinawa might move here too.
