Barry M. Goldwater Range, Arizona

The Barry M. Goldwater Range covers nearly 2 million acres of southwestern Arizona, much of it next to the Mexican border, and is one of the largest military training ranges in the country. Luke Air Force Base is the primary administrator for the whole range, but generally uses the eastern part. The west side is administered primarily by the Marine Corps, which refers to it as part of the Yuma Training Range Complex. The range has dozens of target areas, including several large bullseye targets, as well as several target airfields, convoy areas, and towns made of shipping containers. This is an air-to-ground range, with next to no training on the ground.
