Catawba Paper Mill, South Carolina

The Catawba Paper Mill opened in 1957, and makes pulp and paper products, employing close to 500 people. Located in South Carolina, it has been owned by Canadian companies, most recently Resolute Forest Products, of Montreal. In 2018, Resolute sold it, for $300 million, to New-Indy, a privately held paper and cardboard box company, based in Ontario, California.
