Chelsea Proving Grounds, Michigan

The Fiat Chrysler Automobile Company (formerly known just as Chrysler, one of the original “Big Three” American car companies) operates this proving ground near Detroit. It covers nearly 4,000 acres, and has a large meandering track, steep hills, skid pans, impact test areas, and more. It is one of three primary proving grounds owned by the company (the others are at Yucca, Arizona, and Naples, Florida).
