Chevron Phillips Corporate Headquarters, Texas

Chevron and Phillips Petroleum Company (now Phillips 66), jointly own this petrochemical company, formed in 2000, and headquartered in the Woodlands, north of Houston. The name of the new company was determined by the president of the new firm tossing a specially minted gold coin. Chevron Phillips Chemical operates 35 plants around the world, making olefins, styrene, and other base materials for the chemical and plastics industries, with a few plants in Texas.
