Chrysler Belvedere Assembly Plant, Illinois

Chrysler’s assembly plant in Belvedere, Illinois has 2,500,000 square feet, an amount that more than doubles if you include the stamping plant next to it, which makes the sheet metal for the cars.  It opened in 1965, and has produced many models of the Chrysler and Dodge brands, such as Omni/Horizons, Darts, Neons, and Chargers. Since 2017, it has made mostly Jeep Cherokees. It is one of five remaining assembly plants in the USA operated by Chrysler (now Fiat Chrysler).
