Chrysler Headquarters and Technology Center, Michigan

The Chrysler Headquarters and Technology Center, in Auburn Hills, Michigan, north of Detroit, has 5,300,000 square feet, and a contiguous office complex with a central building that is half a mile long. Chrysler, (now Fiat Chrysler), sells around 2.2 million cars per year and has five assembly plants in the USA, ranging from 2 to 5 million square feet. It is the third largest of the Big Three US car companies, which are much transformed and internationalized now compared to what they used to be, of course. The corporate headquarters complexes of each of the Big Three auto companies are among the largest contiguous corporate facilities in the nation, and each reflects on their respective companies in interesting ways.
