Crystal Geyser Castle in the Clouds Bottling Plant, New Hampshire
CG Roxane, the parent company of Crystal Geyser, operates one of its site-specific regional bottling plants here, pumping ground water and marketing it under the Crystal Geyser Brand. The plant is located on the grounds of the Castle in the Clouds, a hilltop home that has been a local tourist attraction for more than 60 years. The home was built in 1914 by a shoe manufacturer named Tom Plant, and the estate included 6,300 acres of land at its peak. Plant died in 1941, and a later owner opened the large craftsman hilltop mansion as a tourist attraction in 1956. It has fallen on hard times, and was closed for a while, and portion of the property was sold to Crystal Geyser, which helped raise funds for teh Castle’s renovations. The Castle seems to be on solid ground now, and is operated by the Castle Preservation Society, a non-profit that charges admission, operates restaurants, and markets it as wedding and event site.
