Department of Treasury Headquarters, District of Columbia

The US Treasury Department is headquartered in a large neoclassical building immediately east of the White House. The department oversees the US Mint, and makes the physical money used by the USA, produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The Treasury also operates the IRS, which collects taxes; manages fiscal policy; and regulates banks (though that is also done by the Federal Reserve System which is a separate entity, and not part of the Treasury Department).
