Duluth Paper Mill, Minnesota
This medium-sized, modern paper mill opened in 1987, and makes graphic papers for magazines, catalogs, and advertising inserts, and has a small pulp mill. It was owned by the New Page Corporation when it merged with the Verso Corporation in 2015. The Verso Corporation formed in 2006, following the purchase of the coated paper division of International Paper, and declared bankruptcy in 2016. It has since restructured, and is now based in Miamisburg, Ohio. The Duluth mill is the smallest of its four paper mills, and closed in 2020.
