Dyno Nobel Louisiana Nitrogen Plant, Missouri

Dyno Nobel operates a large ammonium nitrate plant near the town of Louisiana, Missouri. It is located on the Mississippi River, and supplies explosives to coal mines in Appalachia, and to quarries in Texas and Florida, as well as locally (including one of the largest cement mines in the nation, just up the river in Hannibal, Mark Twain’s home town). It also makes some fertilizer.
