FDRs Top Cottage, New York

A path at the back of the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site leads up the hill to Top Cottage. This was Franklin Delano Roosevelt (the 32^nd president of the USA)’s getaway place, which he designed and built for himself in 1939, on top of the hill overlooking his Hyde Park estate and the Hudson Valley below. Top Cottage opened to the public in 2001.
