Ford Michigan Assembly Plant, Michigan

This Ford assembly plant in Wayne opened in 1957, to make station wagons, then became a pickup truck plant. It grew considerably over the years, until it had 5 million square feet in three buildings, including the adjacent Wayne Stamping and Assembly Plant. It has around 2,000 employees making Ford Focus, Broncos, and Rangers. It is one of eight or so Ford vehicle assembly plants operating in the USA.
