Fort Kent/Clair Border Bridge, Maine

The Fort Kent/Clair Port of Entry is one of 115 border crossings between the USA and Canada. It is open around the clock, with around 2,000 cars passing through every day. In 2014, a new bridge opened next to the old one (which had grown rickety) and a new USA Port of Entry was built. US Highway 1 originates here, a two-lane highway that leads all the way to the bottom of Florida.  A small park and monument next to the bridge makes note of this.
