Fort Riley, Kansas

Fort Riley is a large and historic (established in 1853) infantry base with 100,676 acres, most of which is used for maneuvers involving tanks, helicopters and ground troops. The base is known as the home of the Big Red One (the 1st Infantry). Also to be found on the base is the U.S. Cavalry Museum, which chronicles the history and traditions of the U.S. Cavalry from 1775 to 1950.
