Huntsman Port Neches, Texas

Huntsman makes feedstocks for a variety of plastics, at a few locations around Texas. Among other products, this plant makes maleic anhydride, used in polyester resins such as fiberglass. Huntsman is a petrochemical company based in the Woodlands, north of Houston. In 2013, Huntsman Corp. announced plans for a $125 million explansion of its ethylene oxide unit at the facility, which will increase production by 25 percent - making the plant the largest producer of ethylene oxide in the U.S.
