LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant, Illinois

LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant is located in Marseilles, Illinois, adjacent to LaSalle Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area, a 2,058-acre artificial lake created in order to supply the plant with needed cooling water. It is home to two boiling water reactors, with a combined output of 2,275 megawatts. It went online in the early 1980s, and is owned and operated by the Exelon Corporation.
