Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama

The activities at Maxwell AFB are related primarily to education and administration as it is the home of the Air University, one of the principal Air Force advanced education and management training centers. There is also an airlift wing based here, and some reserve forces training. A major component of the Air Force's computer systems is operated from the nearby Gunter Annex of Maxwell Air Force Base.
