Mesabi Nugget Plant and Erie Mine, Minnesota

The Mesabi Nugget Plant produces taconite from some of the remains of the old Erie Mine, most of which is not currently active. The company is owned by Steel Dynamics and Kobe Steel. The site includes the former Polymet Plant.
