Miller Power Plant, Alabama

The Miller Power Plant is located near West Jefferson, Alabama, adjacent to the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River, the source of its cooling water. The plant is home to four coal-fired units, whose combined nameplate output capacity is 2,640MW. The plant is owned and operated by Alabama Power Company, a subsidiary of Southern Company. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has often ranked it as the largest single greenhouse gas-producing facility in the USA.
