Oxnard Paper Plant, California
The Procter & Gamble paper products plant in Oxnard, north of Los Angeles, is likely the largest toilet paper production site in Southern California. It was built by International Paper in 1969, and was purchased by P&G in 1973. The plant makes Charmin toilet paper (the most popular consumer brand of toilet paper in the US), Bounty paper towels and napkins. Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble has several large paper products plants around the country, as well as plants for making its other products, which include Crest toothpaste, Dawn dishwashing liquid, Tide laundry detergent, and Gillette razors. Procter & Gamble is a multinational consumer products company, specializing in personal hygiene and cleaning products, with around $70 billion in annual revenue and 100,000 employees globally.
