Peace Bridge, New York

The southernmost of the four road bridges over the Niagara River, connecting the US to Canada, and the least glamorous, is the Peace Bridge, near downtown Buffalo. With over a million trucks crossing every year, its one of the most heavily used crossings between the US and Canada, and delays at the Ports of Entry can slow the crossing to nearly four hours. South of the bridge, the border line enters Lake Erie. It stays close to the middle of the lake, and gets to the other side in 250 miles, with seven turning points.
