Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Hawaii

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard is a major ship repair and overhaul facility for the Pacific Fleet. Established in 1908, it is located on 160 acres of the harbor, on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. Also known as the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, it is part of Pearl Harbor Naval Station, which covers much of the land around Pearl Harbor.The Navy base is one of dozens of military installations on Oahu, and in 2010, it administratively merged with the Air Force's Hickam Air Force Base to form Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
