Point Udall Westernmost Monument, Guam, US Territories

The “westernmost point in the United States” is located on the Orote Peninsula, at the mouth of the port of the Guam Navy Base. The site is next to an ordnance storage area, on military land. There is a communications tower there, at the end of the road, at a place called Point Udall, named after Morris Udall, a congressman from Arizona. The “easternmost point in the USA”, on the Caribbean island of St. Croix, in the US Virgin Islands, is at a place also named Point Udall, named after Morris’ brother Stuart Udall, a former Secretary of the interior.
