Port Hueneme Navy Base, California

Port Hueneme is primarily an engineering, maintenance and construction base for various Navy functions. The Naval Construction Battalion Center at Port Hueneme is the home of the Pacific coast SeaBees, the wartime engineering and building force. The Naval Facilities Engineering Services Center is a diversified engineering entity, located at Hueneme, and the engineering services of the Naval Surface Warfare Center are also located within the Port Hueneme base. It is now administered under the consolidated Ventura County Navy Base, with Point Mugu.
