Portal/North Portal Border Crossing, North Dakota

The Portal/North Portal crossing is in the middle of the split community of Portal, North Dakota, and North Portal, Saskatchewan. This is the second busiest crossing in the North Dakota, and when a new US Port of Entry was mandated, it was squeezed in sideways, to avoid taking up too much of the existing town. The result is a dense and chaotic crossing.
