Shoshone Gulch Cave Homes, California

The sandstone cliffs of Dublin Gulch, on the southwestern end of the remote desert town of Shoshone, were hollowed out into interconnected rooms that were used as homes in the early 1900s by miners and others (including the notorious Shorty Harris), until the 1970s.
