Sonoco Hartsville Plant, South Carolina

This is Sonoco’s main plant, and is in its headquarters town of Hartville. Sonoco is a packaging company, making plastic and paper cans, tubes, cartons, and other enclosures for consumer and industrial markets. This plant has a paper mill on site to make paper components. The company has a few hundred (mostly smaller) plants around the world, and has been around since 1899. With 20,000 employees and $5billion in annual sales, it is likely the largest company based in South Carolina.
