Southbury Teleport, Connecticut

The east coast sister to the Santa Paula Teleport in California, established as part of the federal government’s COMSAT program in the 1970s. Southbury and Santa Paula were originally focused on maritime communications, though they have been upgraded, and are now owned by the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company.
