Space X Headquarters, California

The cluster of buildings on the east end of Hawthorne Airport is the main R&D and production site for Space X, Elon Musk’s aerospace corporation. Also on site is a Tesla R&D center. Space X’s rockets are made here, and shipped by truck to the company’s test site near Waco, Texas, and to assembly and launch sites at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, on the west coast, and at Cape Canaveral, Florida, on the east coast. The company is building its own launch site near Brownsville, Texas, and has used Pacific islands to launch rockets as well. A waterfront facility will likely be built at the Port of Los Angeles in order to build bigger rockets that cannot go down roads.
