Total Corporate Office, Texas

Total, headquartered in Belgium, is the fifth largest non-government-owned oil company in the world, an amalgamation of the European companies Total, Fina and Elf. Its Houston offices, at Total Plaza, downtown, house most of the administration for the company's operations in this country, which include three plants and a research center in Texas, operated under the Total Petrochemicals USA division: a polyethylene plant in Bayport; a polypropylene plant in LaPorte (the world's largest); and a refinery in Port Arthur.
