Toyota Manufacturing Kentucky Plant, Kentucky
The Toyota Plant in Georgetown, Kentucky, is likely the largest car plant in the country, and one of the largest buildings too. It covers 7.5 million square feet, and produces around 500,000 cars per year, and makes at least that many engines as well. It opened in 1986, the first wholly owned Toyota plant in the USA. It assembles the Camry, Avalon, and Lexus models, and is one of four Toyota assembly plants in the USA, where the company sells around 2.5 million cars per year, nearly all of them made in the USA.
